Songwriter and guitarist Wes Finch’s musical style feels rooted in folk but has the ambition and sophistication of pop. His live shows are engaging, energetic and intimate and over the last few years he’s shared stages with the likes of Billy Bragg, Martin Carthy, Richard Thompson and Lucy Ward at various venues, folk clubs and festivals.
Recently relocating to Yorkshire, Wes continues to play throughout the country in between recording new material both as himself and with the poetry-inspired The Rude Mechanicals Band.
Hear songs from the two bands as well as some well chosen covers of classic pop and rock songs in a solo performance in this unique and intimate setting.
"...a welcome and singular addition to the list of newbloods reinvigorating British folk music...Non-trad acoustic roots delivered with an edgy, risk-taking sonic boldness" (Nigel Williamson in Uncut)
