Job Description

We have a vacancy for a Chef De Partie and a Commis Chef to work in our Restaurants; Zeffirellis and Fellinis in Ambleside. The successful person will work in a small team producing high quality Vegetarian food.

We are looking for someone who is flexible, energetic and enjoys creating new dishes. Both Restaurants are very busy therefore we need someone who can work quickly and accurately.

Must be able to work split shifts, evenings and weekends. Pay £9.25 - £10.50 depending on experience plus excellent tips. Live in.

Job Purpose

  • Taking food orders from customers and passing orders through to kitchen immediately.
  • To attend to the needs of all guests maintaining a high standard of service at all times.
  • Ensuring company standard operating procedures are adhered to at all times.
  • Acquire a full knowledge of all food & beverage policies and procedures in accordance with restaurant standards.
  • Ensure timely delivery of all food & beverage items to customers in the restaurant.
  • Ensure that tables are cleared of all used plates, cutlery and glasses and brought to the dish wash area.
  • To maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • To learn, understand and know all of the menus on offer so that all guests questions can be answered without delay.
  • Ensure that all our guest’s special needs i.e. dietary requirements, allergies, etc are made known to the chef and the restaurant manager.
  • To become familiar with the type of wines served. Therefore ensuring that wine is offered when taking a food order and the up-selling technique is used at all times.
  • Ensure that the restaurant manager is informed of any difficulties or delays with service as soon as they occur during service
  • Ensure that all hot food served to the guests is in fact ‘hot’
  • Ensure that any customer complaints are brought to the attention of the restaurant manager as soon as they occur.
  • Make best efforts to learn the names and personally recognise the regular customers.
  • Ensuring that all payments are handled with care so as no shortages occur.
  • To report for duty on time, in the correct company uniform and groomed in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • To attend all training courses provided by management.
  • To be familiar with all cash handling procedures.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with all restaurant and kitchen staff.
  • To perform all duties as instructed by your supervisor and manager.

Job Description

We have a vacancy for a full/part-time Cleaner.

The role includes:

The Cleaner is responsible for cleaning all Front of House areas within Zeffirellis, Fellinis and Zeffs by the Park.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the Restaurants, Café, Bars, Cinemas and Lobbies are cleaned daily to standards as agreed with management from time to time
  • Ensure that all toilets are serviced daily and cleaned to a meticulously high standard.
  • Ensure the main office is cleaned on a weekly basis.
  • Ensure all additional cleaning jobs on tick lists are actioned.
  • Ensure that all areas are checked regularly for repairs and that appropriate maintenance is effected.
  • Liaise with Operations Manager and notify areas needing attention in respect of decor.
  • Ensure that adequate supplies of cleaning materials are available and order additional stock if necessary.
  • Carry out any additional reasonable requests made by management

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all ticket sales are recorded accurately
  • To ensure that the kiosk is fully stocked with all sweets, drinks etc
  • Keep the kiosk & FOH in a clean and hygienic state
  • Ensure the cinema, kiosk & foyer area is clean and tidy.
  • To cash up at the end of the evening
  • To communicate respectfully with colleagues and customers
  • To offer a high level of service to all customers
  • To follow all statutory requirements in Health and Safety and Fire regulations
  • Check for cinema deals and reserve necessary cinema seats
  • Deal with customers queries & complaints & escalate them when necessary
