Joe’s music is full of joy and optimism, being driven by strong melody and innovation.

His new album ‘A Blue Patch’ to be released this year draws together a selection of narratives taken from various aspects of his life and is more broadly a commentary on his belief in music as a vital part of what it is to be human; the euphoric moments, the times that test us and just simply being . ‘A Blue Patch references the parting of the clouds, allowing us to be immersed in the sun, whilst ‘Between the Stars’ is about life’s grey moments; the complex and ambiguous moments and choices in life that challenge us and don’t fit into a neat framework. Ultimately the album presents an optimistic perspective that music is integral to all human emotional experiences additionally giving opportunities to experience life in the moment; it is the life blood that provides acceptance, freedom and liberation from what is happening around us.
