Jo Harrop & Jamie McCredie 

Jo Harrop & Jamie McCredie will be playing songs from their much celebrated duets Album, "Weathering The Storm” as well as other swinging jazz standards. Both hailing from the north east, but only meeting years later in London on the jazz scene, the duo instantly hit it off musically and began to perform as a duo, in similar style to Ella Fitzgerald & Joe Pass, or Tony Bennett and Bill Evans, selecting fine timeless songs for their repertoire, that would later become recorded for their debut album together.

Harrop’s velvety voice shimmers and weaves its way between the notes of McCredie’s mellifluous, deliciously understated guitar like steam, weighing each and every word with precision, silently contemplating exactly how much she wants to reveal and how much she wants to keep hidden in the shadows of these deep-blue soliloquies. At times, she sounds as if she is living inside the songs, with each lyric a page from her diary.
