Carl Mayotte is one of Canada’s most exciting young bassists and composers, known for his energetic blend of jazz fusion, Latin influences, and contemporary jazz. Named Radio-Canada Jazz Revelation and winner of several awards in Québec, he has quickly gained recognition for his virtuosic playing, sophisticated writing, and dynamic stage presence.With five acclaimed albums—including Carnaval, winner of the 2024 GAMIQ Award for Jazz Album of the Year—Mayotte brings a fresh and innovative voice to the Canadian jazz scene.
