A superb guitarist and long-time crusader for the jazz cause, Owen has worked with most of the greats in the jazz guitar world, and to this day continues to run guitar courses, workshops and festivals and to encourage younger musicians to develop their craft. With playing very much in the vein of masters of the instrument such as Wes Montgomery, Jim Hall & Joe Pass, tonight he leads his excellent quartet through a survey of the standard repertoire, featuring superb young saxophonist Liam Byrne and go-to Manchester bassist Dave Turner.
