Band Bio

An outstanding Anglo-American quartet led by award- winning trumpet player Chris Hodgkins, with 29-year old South Korean pianist from New York, Jinjoo Yoo, “one of the most exciting pianists on the scene in New York”, guitarist Wayne Wilkinson , “one of the best, most underrated jazz guitarists in the USA”, and Alison Rayner on bass, winner of the Parliamentary Jazz Award 2018 for Best Ensemble.

The band takes a fresh look at music ranging from original compositions to lesser-known standards.

“This live chamber jazz album exhibits a wonderful chemistry between trumpeter Chris Hodgkins and guitarist Wayne Wilkinson. Captivating.” The Musician.

"In my life I don't think I've ever heard a more magnificent guitar player than Wayne. His CD "It's a Lark" is the greatest guitar playing I have ever heard." Bill Watrous.

“……One of the most listenable albums I’ve heard in many a turntable revolution! Although very bop-influenced in her solos, Jinjoo is able to spread her fingers across many genres; she takes them all in her stride.. Bebop Spoken Here
