Visiting Zeffirelli’s in the middle of its debut UK tour, the band creates a sound distinguished by its spatial & stylistic breadth, referencing  rock, spoken word, bebop and much else.

Stevie Williams Unplugged

Stevie Williams Unplugged

Stevie Williams is a talented UK bassist, singer and songwriter. As well as his solo work, he also fronts The Most Wanted Band, testament to his tireless work ethic and devotion to his craft. A life long devotee of the ageless blues, alt country and americana sounds, he has travelled the globe absorbing a plethora of diverse influences and honing his craft into the classic songwriting style he possesses today.

Stevie Williams and his latest project ‘Pockets Full of Gold’ featuring the song ‘She Don’t Do’ was produced by Stevie, engineered and written entirely by Stevie with the exception of one track. The hands-on approach with this album pays off, as he seem's completely in tune with the sound he want's to project. ‘She Don’t Do’ is a moody, stripped back and somewhat dark track complete with soulful delivery from Stevie and touches of psychedelia that just add to his quirky appeal. It’s catchy without trying to be.  http://forthecountryrecord.com

Will Butterworth Quartet

The compositions are based on Oscar Wilde’s story of the same name, and the music follows the story of the nightingale until her last song is sung. Each of the seven movements is used as a starting point for improvisation, covering a wide range of style and moods within a tight structure.

Gerry Richardson Trio

Sep
30

A very welcome return for Hammond organ virtuoso, singer & and long-time Sting associate Richardson, leading his superb trio featuring the sparkling alto saxophone of Garry Linsley and much-respected session drummer Adam Sinclair , through a set paying homage to the musicians he reveres, from Ray Charles to Jimmy Smith to Mose Allison and Donald Fagen. Great covers and smart originals - not to be missed if you love the evocative, steaming noise that is the old electric sideboard in full flight.
