Geoffrey Keezer and Gillian Margot

Geoffrey Keezer and Gillian Margot

GRAMMY-nominated pianist Geoffrey Keezer features scintillating and soulful vocalist Gillian Margot for an evening of duets.

With his highly regarded discography, unique compositions, and acclaimed performances in a variety of configurations, pianist Geoffrey Keezer commands the attention typically reserved for the living legends of jazz.

Gillian Margot is the rarest sort of singer - the kind that makes people sit up and listen. She has an exquisite voice, a disarmingly wide range and a style that is deeply rooted in the tradition of the great jazz vocalists, yet she possesses a gift of storytelling and emotionally intelligent lyrical delivery that is refreshingly free of “jazz singer” clichés.

About Time

‘About Time’ started just two years ago with a gig in The Brewery Art’s Centre’s, Warehouse Cafe in aid of The Down Syndrome Association. Following this success the band members wanted to continue performing together.

You can expect to hear lounge music with jazzy edge incl. songs from Burt Bacharach, Bob Dylan, Carole King and others.

The Band consists of experienced local musicians although the vocalist Aggie originates from Poland. Keith Redfern – who has been playing guitar for years in a variety of bands from punk to funk and now fuses it all into his own style..., Ken Johnston – Welsh born Anglo-Scot, first encountered a double bass 50 years ago after playing alto sax and guitar!  On the Lancaster scene since arriving in ’92.  Martin Chadderton, our drummer is never happier than when he is quickening the pulse with his infectious beats. His genres include Brass, Community and Flamenco!

Vocalist Aggie has a warm and vibrant tone, coupled with sensitivity and musicality that shines out of her voice.

Knusprige Wimpern

Knusprige Wimpern is a five-piece band from Passau, Germany that bases their unique original compositions on bules, pop, jazz, the swirly sounds of the late 60´s and the progressive rock of the early 70´s. Psychedelic guitar, groovy percussion, playful bass, piano with a classical touch and angle-like vocals make up their weird and wonderful music.

The group formed in the winter of 2015 when Katharina Müller (piano/voc) and Mike Krompaß (guitar//flute/voc) decided to have a play together. Katharina brought her friend Hannah Paularsen (guitar/voc) along and later in the process Bernhard Senkmüller (drums/percussion) and Valentin Weber (bass) joined and they rehearsed existing material and soon started composing together.
